Melissa Paulgaard

Melissa graduated with a Master of Speech Pathology Studies from the University of Queensland in Brisbane. Melissa has experience working in the educational setting and disability sector. Melissa is passionate about supporting children and adults with complex communication needs and promoting autonomous communication for all individuals. Her other areas of interest include speech sound disorders, language, literacy and fluency and she currently works with a variety of disorders, presentations and disabilities. Melissa is evidence-based in her approach and dedicated to working with clients and their families to achieve the best possible outcome.

Melissa has experience implementing and supporting families with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) including Key Word Sign (KWS), LAMP Words for Life, Pragmatic Organisation Dynamic Display (PODD) and Proloquo2Go. Melissa has also completed additional training in the Hanen It Takes Two To Talk® Program. When not at work, Melissa enjoys running, camping and spending time with her fiancé.

Melissa is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist.
